The Coffee Creek Chalet is much more than a cabin—it’s a home away from home. The Chalet is a fully furnished, clean and well maintained cabin. The Chalet and our home share three acres right along the river. (The Chalet is about 50 yards away from our home so you have your own space.) Many of our personal treasures and belongings make it more like a personal residence than a rental.
Downstairs is a bedroom with queen bed, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and cathedral ceiling living room with a deck out front. Upstairs is a loft running the length of the house with two twin beds. In the cool evenings you can cozy around the closed air glass front wood burning stove. (Yes, there is a propane heater in case you don’t want to build a fire.) There is a washer⁄dryer, a VCR and DVD for movies, and a stereo radio with CD player and cassette deck. We supply linens, towels—almost everything you need except food and beach towels.
On the front deck are two barbeques—propane and briquette. A picnic table located below the deck toward the creek is a good place for an outdoor meal or watching a game of horseshoes. Most folks come here to relax, read, and do nothing. In fact, the hammock in the trees has hosted many afternoon naps. For those who enjoy a more energetic adventure, you can raft the white waters of Coffee Creek from Memorial Day weekend into June as long as the water flow stays high enough to provide the adventure of class 4 rapids. See Recreation for more information.
